Shut Your Mouth | A Fun Class for Women

October 30, 2023

Monday @ 6:30 pm

About this Class

From Bible times to modern times women have struggled with their words. What to say and how to say it. What not to say. When it is best to remain silent. And what to do when you've said something you wish you could now take back.

Beyond just a "how not to gossip" class, we will explore what the Bible says about the many ways we are to use our words and the times when we are to remain silent. Christian women struggle with their mouths. Even though we know that Scripture has much to say about how we are--and are not--to use our words, this is still an immense issue, causing heartache and strain not only in family relationships, but also in friendships, work, and church settings.

These 3 sessions are based off the book Keep It Shut: What to Say, How to Say It, and When to Say Nothing at All.

Basically, we're looking for an engaging, Christian environment to learn, discuss, and share. There will be lots of snacks. 😉 16+ only please (no children). Please feel free to send this link to your gal friends.

A note from your host

Hi! I'm Jenny-- a Christian 30 something married mother.  I'm excited to connect with you, learn from you, and have fun with you! I'm looking forward to a monthly night of learning, discussion, and connection.  Bring your Bibles (I'll be the nerd with a parallel bible). Although we're serious about study-- we leave plenty of time for laughter. We're not the curriculum police, ha.

Friends, as someone who has blurted out things she regrets and has put her foot into her mouth more times than she would like to admit, this class is basically for me.

Let me know you’re coming If you know me, you know I love organization. Please fill out the questionnaire so that I can know you're coming and keep you updated with texts. Your information is private, and I won't make it weird. I do attend theChurch -- but you don't have to be a member or attend here to come to this small group.

Group format//what to expect: We start by mingling and greeting, then move into a 10–15-minute message about the study.  After that, we break off into groups of 4-5 to discuss a handout with discussion questions that go along with the specific topic we are studying.  The discussion questions are great for engagement and connection. No one is put on the spot, and everyone is welcome to share in a loving, non-judgmental zone at their table. You can expect a cozy environment.

Big Hugs! I'm excited to start this journey with you! 💗

Love, Jenny

P.S. We meet @ theChurch 3000 Strayer Rd, Maumee, Ohio 43537.  I'll text you specifics when you sign up.
